Nguyen Trong Hieu, 24 years old, a second-year student of the acting and film department, Central Academy of Drama, China, returned to Vietnam in early 2020 and is currently unable to return to school. Before going to China, Hieu was a freshman at Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. There are two ways to apply for the scholarship, which is to take the HSK (Chinese proficiency test) yourself and submit it through the scholarship program's website or apply for a Chinese government scholarship (CSC) through the university. that you are studying. If going in the first way, the candidate has little chance of being selected because the level of direct competition is very high.

Hieu goes the second way. When considering scholarships, University of Theater and Cinema will select suitable students based on criteria such as average academic scores, sense of learning... Through the preliminary round, Hieu has to prepare for the talent test. , performed in front of the principal with the head teacher and deputy dean. "Passing the mid-term exam can be considered as having fulfilled half of your dream of coming to the second largest art cradle in Asia", Hieu said.

Going to China in 2017, Hieu studied for a year at the No. 2 Foreign Language Institute in Beijing. International students have to study entirely in Chinese, so Hieu aims to conquer this language. Hieu made friends with foreign friends to study with, was a member of many groups related to learning Chinese, and participated in exchange activities at school.

Once he has clearly defined his goals and considers language learning as a hobby, Hieu is no longer under pressure, but excited, wanting to discover and know more. Thanks to that, he was an excellent student in the 2017-2018 class of the foreign language academy.

Having excellently passed the language exams, Hieu continued to take the debut round of the Academy of Drama. That time, Hieu presented two performances: Singing in Chinese and performing with a Ukrainian international student. After passing this round, the male student officially entered the prestigious art academy.

The school has two campuses in Dong Thanh and suburban areas (Ring No. 6). Students will study at the new campus until the end of the third year, and in the fourth year will transfer to the old campus. Graduation by fourth-year students also takes place here.
